2021 Where did a year go

It has been a busy year from 2020 finishing my Masters to now 2021 October and I have been neglecting my blogs oh so badly. Happily posting that I just sold this 30x40 painting called “Bedside Manners” . Thank you for the Manhattan Collector for the support!

As Always, I am happy to jump on commissioned pieces as well if I can help you interpret your art needs!

This painting including glued cutouts from old-fashioned, illustrated dictionary reflects feelings from online dating: in the corner "window", both human brain and cutting instructions for "beef wholesale cuts", and coincidence of both bedside and beggarly being printed as highlighted words in consequent pages have found their place in the equation. With another word, "because", from the left upper corner, a reflection of experiences from online dating, where I have found the sensitivity and love being showed behind people being exposed to a show like cut meat on a counter, is being shown. Hence the title, "Bedside manners"; we still need them.
